Or is it too wealthy of an area for those kind of places?

2. Just find the most worn down looking place, they usually have a sign that says no refunds after 15 minutes
3. There are motels on Route 1 below of the Beltway/I-495 (as you get near the marine base), that have what you are looking for. It's pretty skeezy, but it that's your thing, there are a number of choices starting a couple of miles south. However, even respectable motels will often have "day rates." These are often used by truckers and other people who just need a few hours sleep but plan to get right back on the road. The price is not hourly, but it is usually much less than an overnight room.
