How much money - for gas, hotels/motels, food, drink, etc - needed per day for three weeks on the West Coast?

Southern Oregon and Northern California. We'll work out car hire seperately In $$ please

1. about 150 a day if its very cheap
2. prob get by nicely on $100 a day. use ihop for good quality food or dennys. petrol at the moment is around $2.79 £1.35 ish if you work out the exchange rate of 2 bucks to the pound. came back from there 2 days ago. have fun.
