Going to Old Orchard Beach Maine. What are some good hotels/motels for a family of four?
Looking for clean, relatively good prices and planning to go last week of August. What attractions are must sees and what restaurants are recommended.

- Vist this site... http://www.oldorchardbeachmaine.com/. There are listings for lodging and attractions in Old Orchard Beach. As far as dining for seafood, I would suggest The Village Inn or The Captain's Galley...both located right in Old Orchard. If you get tired of eating seafood (which I know may not happen), there is also a favorite Chinese restaurant of mine on Route 1 in Saco (5 minutes from OOB) called the China House. They just reopened after rebuilding due to a fire. There is also an amusement and water park on Route 1 in Saco. Old Orchard Beach is a very busy area from June-August, so you may find it to be crowded with tourists, but it's worth the visit. If time permits, you may also want to consider visiting Portland or just travel Route 1 North or South. Lots of interesting small towns to see. Here is another site to check out for ideas outside of Old Orchard. http://www.visitmaine.com/home.php I hope this helps you and I hope you enjoy your stay in Maine!
- try www.vrbo.com for lodging much cheaper than a hotel
