Half Way Motel

Going to Old Orchard Beach Maine. What are some good hotels/motels for a family of four?

Looking for clean, relatively good prices and planning to go last week of August. What attractions are must sees and what restaurants are recommended.

  2. Vist this site... http://www.oldorchardbeachmaine.com/. There are listings for lodging and attractions in Old Orchard Beach. As far as dining for seafood, I would suggest The Village Inn or The Captain's Galley...both located right in Old Orchard. If you get tired of eating seafood (which I know may not happen), there is also a favorite Chinese restaurant of mine on Route 1 in Saco (5 minutes from OOB) called the China House. They just reopened after rebuilding due to a fire. There is also an amusement and water park on Route 1 in Saco. Old Orchard Beach is a very busy area from June-August, so you may find it to be crowded with tourists, but it's worth the visit. If time permits, you may also want to consider visiting Portland or just travel Route 1 North or South. Lots of interesting small towns to see. Here is another site to check out for ideas outside of Old Orchard. http://www.visitmaine.com/home.php I hope this helps you and I hope you enjoy your stay in Maine!
  3. try www.vrbo.com for lodging much cheaper than a hotel
