  1. I am not a lawyer, but if you pay for the room and you are not breaking the laws, I dont believe he can tell you this! I worked in a hotel for 8 years so I have hotel experience. Also, in some states its illegal to record conversations unless you tell the person you are recording them. That part I know for a fact. If its allowed in your state, then your good! Good job on that.
  2. Yes...he can if your property is creating clutter or becomes a health/safety issue. Pay your rent with money orders or checks.
  3. Call the Police and explain the problem to them. They will tell your rights. You may have to take the motel owner to court.
  4. lady_leo..., if you have it recorded, you should have him by the*alls. Just be thankful he didn't tell you to put out or get out---lol. Good luck.
  5. Send some photos of the room.
  6. What you are describing is where you have a houseful of possessions in one tiny hotel room. The fire code says that is not ok. Pay him by check but he probably only accepts cash. He can not throw out your stuff but the fire department might make you pay for a storage unit. I hope you are rich..
