Half Way Motel

Can someone explain the actual state of being "crazy" to me. How does someone get to that state of mind?

Should they be let back into society? It just boggles my mind.. I just went to the gas station and what seemed to be a homeless man approached me, he just started rambling on about how he had mangoes and they were so great and juicy, well i dont eat mangoes and i told him that but i took a look anyway; small little yellow mangoes. Well he just continued to talk to me WALKED AROUND MY CAR REACHED IN MY WINDOW AND PUT THREE MANGOES IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. By this time ive got a close eye on him.. mind you this is all while im pumping gas.. then he introduces himself... says something about finding a 14 karat gold diamond earring in an old motel where him and his wife were and when they arrested him they didnt give it back, then he says he was sleeping at the salvation army and well he's on disability now because when he was sleeping there a man came in, in an invisible coat and had a sword and cut him in half. so they put him back together, but now he's gotten help with his psychiatric episodes.. well i told him i had no money only plastic and he said well are you in debt, i said not yet.. "oh well a pretty girl like yourself can make some money on the side going on dates and stuff." this is when i drove off.. WHAT?!? i don't ever think that i will become crazy but it interest me. How can anyone get to that state of mind and be so open about it? did this really truly happen to this man, does he really believe so??? I would actually love to talk to someone that has been in this state of mind before. and can explain to me these experiences

1. Crazy is a term that men use to describe a woman who sees through their lies and BS and isn't afraid to confront him.
2. it means that they probally think violence is good, have no common sense, and usually are mental
3. SOmetimes a person like you are describing has a mental illness, or developmental disability.. I am really blessed that I don't have those challenges in life myself, aren't you?
4. That's how his body copes with all the misery he is experiencing... even bums need to comunicate in one form or another..... he might also be on pain killers, drugs, or alcohol.... it's a survial mecanisum to maintain whats left of his brain.
