Half Way Motel

Any comments about Motel Blu in Miami?? Located on Biscayne Blvd.?

We have reservations, just want to make sure it is an acceptable choice, as I was resoponsbile for booking for friends as well. We just need a couple of nights before a cruise and need to be close to the Port.

1. I have been to Miami and the Biscayne area but not at this place. But here´s a link with pictures to get an overview of the motel. I know Biscayne is a really nice area, so that motel most likely should be good, especially since they said it´s newly renovated. Hope that helps.
2. I personally haven't stayed there or heard of it. Most likely becuase I don't travel much to biscayne. If you want to get as much info as you can you can try different hotel review websites for reveiws from people who have stayed there (tripadvisor.com, etc.). I just read four reviews about the motel, and it scored 3.5/5 stars in overall rating. Its a motel so as long as you don't expect the rtiz you should be fine. For $75.00 a night, its a good deal. Usually I pay around $300.00 if I'm staying in a hotel in Miami. Good Luck & Enjoy your cruise. Ellie Ps. If you don't like the hotel and are willing to leave that area, there are some Nice hotels in the Kendall area which is about 30-45 minutes from the Port of Miami (cruise ships area). You also will get a realer sense of what Miami, Florida is all about. If you do consider this try searching areas (kendall, south Miami, Coral Gables, pinecrest & Dadeland)
