ok ive just received a repsonse to an email from the site saying You can pay in cash at check in but you can not reserve a room unless you have a credit card. The hotel requires all reservations to have a credit card,so is it possible to use a friends credit card to reserve a room for me?am travelling alone btw,and then when I arrive at the Motel to pay the cash?am a lil confused cause am hearing all different things,I dont own a credit card of my own,I only have cash,do you think they will allow me to use a friends credit card?any helps appreciated,thank you

1. Pretty much to make the reservation & guarentee you will have a room you will need a credit card, the card will not be charged unless you dont show, or call. When you get to the motel you can check in and pay cash. The reason they ask for a credit card to guarantee the room is to hold it for late arrival & for if you decide not to show then they will charge you.
2. Pay when you get there they will have a room available trust me they will.
3. get on of those credit cards you can load cash on them. they will work and there is no credit check for them
4. Yes the yahoo answerer who said get one of those pre-paid credit cards and put cash on it and you can use that well that is also a great idea. If you don't want to do that then you can have your friend or relative who has the credit card call the hotel reservations number and explain that they want to give you a gift as a vacation stay at the hotel and that they want to reserve the hotel room for you and is that permissible as per hotel/corporate rules. But the best thing to do is to get one of those pre-paid credit cards and put on the amount of money that you desire to put on and you can use that not only to reserve your room but to pay the bill at the end of your stay at the hotel/motel.
