Anyone know from experience a good motel near Sauget, IL?
If you are familiar witht the area and have stayed in the hotels/motels around here, please help. I am traveling to Sauget, IL for a concert on Nov 1st. Myself and a guest will be in the hotel only from like 5-6pm when we get to town and then from like midnight till check out time the following morning. . . So it doesn't have to be fancy, but we don't want a creepy dive either. Where do you recommend making my reservation at? On second thought - maybe luxury or uniqueness would be fun - - recommend a really awesome place to stay as well, then i can pick what I want to spend and experience! Thanks for any good knowledgable responses!!! links would be helpful to any hotels you recommend, or directions. :)

- I find you can never go wrong if you stay at a Hilton so if you can, this would be your best bet for security and cleanliness, and all around fun good luck
- Stay in one of our downtown Hotels. Its just a short little hop over the bridge to Sauget. I would not recommend staying in a hotel in that area...not good area to be staying in hotels.
- Try the surrounding areas and towns, Downtown St.Louis is probably your best bet. It's a 5-10$ cab ride to Stages.
- I wouldn't want to stay in Sauget! Unless you want to stay next to some all night clubs and strip clubs. I would stay in downtown St. Louis which is very close.
- Motel 8 Motel 6 Sauget Inn Go to hotels .com bring up the state and city .....it will give you a list of what available
- Don't stay in Sauget - not the greatest area. I'd recommend Embassy Suites - Downtown St. Louis (on Laclede's Landing) as a good mid-level hotel. The Adam's Mark Downtown would be a fancy one. You could also check out the Casino Queen Hotel and Casino in East St. Louis. The surrounding area isn't the greatest, but the the Casino/Hotel grounds and parking lot are safe. And it's open 24 hours, so it would still be busy when you get back from the concert.
