Im staying at a cheap, somewhat dingy motel in PCB.. i have a question about reservations! PLEASE HELP!!!!?
Im staying in Panama City next weekend for the 4th and they are totally booked up.. Im having to stay in a kinda dingy cheap hotel but thats not a problem. my question is.. someone else in my family is paying for the room (something thats not going on the trip) if i reserve the room with their credit card do i have to have the card present to check in? because i wont. what if i have a letter from them (notarized if i have to) that says i have authority to use it? or is it even going to be a big deal? our last names are the same.. if that matters

- Every hotel that Eye ever worked in requires the cardholder to fax a copy of their driver's license, the front AND back of the credit card in question, and a letter granting permission for you to place any charges on their credit card and a listing of exactly which charges they are willing to cover. This would include room charges, tax, any type of security deposit, telephone fees, pay-per-view movies, food and drink, parking, etc. My advice would be to contact the motel right away in order to determine their policy. Have a nice trip!
