- as long as you have a credit card they dont care
- In some places you have to be 18, others 21. It depends on where you go. If you are 17, more than likely you will have to go to a shady motel room.
- you have to 18 yrs or older in most states, the hotel can rent to their discretion regardless of age
- Generally, most places require you to be at least 18 with a credit card to hold the room. They will let you pay in cash, but most require a credit card as well. Some shadier places (even name-brands, such as Days Inn, or Motel 6) will let you slide by without any ID or credit card. It also depends on the clerk working at the desk. Some (most likely against company rules) will allow you to pay in cash.
- The legal minimum age to rent a hotel room is 18. This is due to the fact that the minimum age to enter into a legal contract is 18.
