Half Way Motel

I just rented a motel room in Hackensack NJ?

The problem? No water. It was OK when I moved in 2 hours ago, but now when I turn it on in the bathroom, barely a trickle. I called the front desk and was told that a city water main had broken. Talk about bad luck. Here's my question: How much refund, if any, am I entitled to? The front desk has offered nothing so far. I like to be able to shower and flush the toilet. I'm just that kind of guy. Except for the lack of water it's a nice room. The front desk lady pointed out that it is not her fault. What do you think? Half off the $75.00 I paid? I suppose I could contest the bill with my credit card company?

1. None of it because, as the front desk clerk said, it stems from a situation outside of their control. Even if you got a full refund and moved to a different hotel, they might not have water either. You could go stay with a friend for free, but (guess what?) they might not have water either. Its just one of those situations that sucks, but you have to suck it up and live with it. Since it is a problem stemming from a main city water line, it should hopefully be fixed soon. Try going to the nearest gas station and buying a couple of cheap gallons of water to keep in your bathroom for when you need to freshen up or flush.

3. I would at least ask for a discount... all they can say is no. if you don't ask... you get nothing....if you ask you might get something. hopefully they will have it fixed soon.
