Should I believe a guy that he doesn't have $60 for motel to see me? I met this guy on chat line, we didn't see each other in person, but saw tons of pictures. That was in April. Since then we talk every day and established fantastic sexual chemistry and great friendship. is it illegal to refuse rental to someone becuase they are minors? Im a property manager at a Motel, and i ask this question because i know that years ago a minor walked into a a few motels/hotels in san Diego and was turned away because she was a minor. She had money to pay for a motel room, but no one rented to her. The end result ended in her staying on the streets and being raped and murdered. This was about 10 years ago, and i never found out what became of it, if any laws were changed, and i was a desk clerk at the time. From that day forward, the owners told us that we could not refuse to rent to anyone who had means to pay. Now as a Manager i wonder if i could be held liable if i turned away a minor, and as a result he or she slept on the streets and got hurt or something. Does any one know the real deal?

What do you do when your mother is mentally-ill and homeless? My mentally-ill mom is finally homeless. Her mother died a few months back and now the money has run out. I don't know what the hell to do. The system in Texas sucks. She's been in and out of it my whole life. She will not take psychiatric medication, she calls it drug rape. She hasn't had a job in 15yrs. and I'm not sure that she could hold one down for to long. She's been kicked out of all the shelters because she's so difficult, I guess. She refuses to seek help through the well-fare system or disabilitity though if anyone needs it it's her. In the last 2 weeks I've spent almost $400 motel rooms and I can't keep doing that, I don't make enough to support her and there's no way I can let her live with me, can be very abusive. Won't ever go back to that hell. She's been coming up to my work every night to sleep in my truck but then after work I have to figure out where to take her. Getting to the point where I'm gonna ride a bike so I don't have to deal cuz I don't know what to do.

Buying a small motel? My wife and I have our home paid off, it is worth 150k, we have no debt. We have been looking online at small motels, like 15-25 units. We are looking at one that has a home on it that we can live in and run the hotel for our income. I have found a couple, one for 249k and one for 219k, they are both (turn key) motels. obviosly we would run the motel, the cleaning, the groundskeep and so on. Have you ever found a syringe in your hotel room? I stayed the weekend at motel 6 in Salt Lake City, and found 3 loaded syringes in my room on the final night. One was located on the floor behind the door. I complained to management and they only offered to refund the final night. That means I slept 4 nights in a hotel room with syringes. Who knows what was in the syringes, and who knows if there were more. What if they were in my bed? What if my 5 year old nephew found them before I did? I think it is totally unacceptable, and at the very least should receive a full refund for the entire 4 night stay. What should I do? Can I contest the charges on my credit card bill? My friend has kittens and small children with roach promblem? My friend has been dealing with a roach promblem for several months now. I have suggested roach spray, roach motels, and roach bombs. She has tried all of these things and all though they do help they do not cure the promblem completely. I don't know what else to suggest other than calling an exterminator ( which is costly) I thought maybe someone has dealt with something like this and could offer some advice. To add........ The main reason why she is having a roach promblem is because she lives in a neighbor hood where her nieghbor's house is very close to hers. how old do u have to be to purchase a hotel or motel room? I heard stuff like u had to be 21 or older with a credit card but can u be like 17 and pay cash or whats the deal?

How can i handle a Minor in possession and Minor Consumption?? Ok this is the deal. I was asked to pick a friend up at a motel. So I went to pick him up. I went inside and he was not there so i went back outside. When I came out of the door there was a group of Police on there way to that room. I did not have a beer or anything in hand. I was asked if i had been drinking and said no. I didnt get a sobriety test or breathorliser. Needless to say the police officer gave me a citation for MIP and MIC. Because I had access to the beer. I am 20 and live in Webster TX, and dont have the funds for a expencive lawyer. Any help would be greatfully appreciated. Also I have my arranment on Dec 20th. I have a pretty clean record. Had speeding ticks but got dismissed and the only thing that would look bad on my record is a Expired Inspection sticker

Better Priced Hotel - Motel Rooms for vacation (San Antonio, Tx)? I recently booked a room in San Antonio, TX for the weekend of Mother's Day. I finally found one near the airport, just where I wanted to be. My cost, $110.39 for Saturday 5/2010/08 thur Mon. 5/12/08, with check-out time being 11:00am (check-in time being 3:00pm on Saturday) Is this a good deal or can I find better? can a hotel/motel ban gays from thier establishment? this occured in Houston, Tx. my boyfriend and i needed a room for the night, we passed by a place, looked clean, so we stopped in and got a room. my BF went in and handled the deal while i waited in the car, he did tell the clerk that the room was for two people. we werent in the room for 5 minutes when that asshole banged on the door and said "room for man and wife only" and said one of us had to leave. he then offered us a room with 2 beds for $10 more. i demanded our money back and eventually got it. this reeks of discrimination to me. i later find out that this place rents rooms by the hour also, so obviously they have no problem with "man and whore" or a drug user renting a room, but when 2 guys want a room its for "man and wife" only. would we have any legal recourse against these people?

Should running The United States really be a popularity contest? Should we not have some standardized test that you should need to pass . Just basics ;addition ,subtraction ,multiplication ,division reading and some basic science . Seems that some people we have elected have forgotten these things ,never learned them or we would not be up to our collective eyeballs in debit . Our leader should know more then just the right people to make deals with to get elected . They should actually have to balance a budget . They should be able to make projections of the future wealth and health of this nation . They should insure that anyone working forty hours makes a wage that can support Themselves ,without the aide of others ,in a safe environment . Not some 12 dollar a night flea bag motel that is filled with criminals . On 10 dollars an hour it can not be done .rent is 700 utilities are another 100 minimum food is 100 car insurance is 200 car 189 and what about clothes and an evening out . Im staying at a cheap, somewhat dingy motel in PCB.. i have a question about reservations! PLEASE HELP!!!!? Im staying in Panama City next weekend for the 4th and they are totally booked up.. Im having to stay in a kinda dingy cheap hotel but thats not a problem. my question is.. someone else in my family is paying for the room (something thats not going on the trip) if i reserve the room with their credit card do i have to have the card present to check in? because i wont. what if i have a letter from them (notarized if i have to) that says i have authority to use it? or is it even going to be a big deal? our last names are the same.. if that matters
