How do I start a "club" to get people to donate gifts [for children living in motels] at christmas time. I grew up where alot of my school mates lived in motels. Now my sons are going to same schools as I did. It is so sad to know one of your sons best friend has lived in the same motel for three years. I just read today in the "The Virginian-pilot" that about 90 Elementary students live in these small drug infested motels. And that's just one elementary . I want to start a group that gives out Christmas presents to these children on Christmas eve.These children need alittle more on Christmas day,then just a very small motel room to wake up to. There's no room for a oven to cook with,,so I'm sure there's no room for tree. But maybe room for few presents to make a child smile.
